TILLI Summer Session - Voting Action Event

Join us onsite at Temple Israel for an assembly line style preparation of about 500 postcards (or letters) for mailing to a voter suppression state with a critical primary and election leading up to mid-term elections. We will work together, and share in a lunch of pizza and salad. All are invited to join this action event hosted by TILLI (Temple Israel Lifelong Learning Institute). 

There are two chances to participate:

• Thursday, June 30 - we will focus on postcards to Arizona
• Thursday, August 25 - State of Focus TBD

This event is offered as part of the TILLI Summer Session 2022, featuring a series of programs that address recent attacks on the democratic process. The struggle to vote and to making every vote count is central to what happens both at the local and national levels. Yet, we watch as state legislatures alter voting rules and redistrict their state maps to further restrict access to voting. Where does democracy go from here? All TILLI Summer Sessions are free and open to all.
