The Changing Soundscape of Israel Post-October 7th with Cantor Alicia Stillman
A soundscape is a combination of sounds that grows from an immersive environment. It can be the sound of wind, traffic, laughing, and, of course, music. The study of soundscapes is how to interpret these sounds, understanding how much they matter and reflect society. Sounds that are familiar, evocative, and expressive of Israeli culture have dramatically shifted after October 7th, 2023. Together we will listen to the landscape of sounds and music that have become the backdrop of the Israeli soundscape this past year.
