This class has been postponed, and will run later in Summer 2023.  To be notified when new dates are confirmed, please contact Brigid Goggin at bgoggin@tisrael.org.

Join Rabbi Dan Slipakoff this summer for a series of walking tours of different neighborhoods to explore different facets of Boston and delve into what it means to be a citizen of this city. We will discuss Jewish values that underpin civic engagement and social responsibility, and explore the ways in which our community can further engage and contribute to the city's civic life.

One session will be fully onsite at Temple Israel of Boston, and for the other 4 sessions, we will travel around local neighborhoods with a different focus each week, including Public Art, Green Infrastructure, Migration and Gentrification, and Food Justice. Each week will also feature local experts and activists as we learn about our city in new ways together.
