Boston's ill fated urban renewal plan began the destruction of Boston's vibrant West End in 1958. Over 12,000 residents were displaced, with 800 buildings razed, across 54 acres. We'll view the moving and emotional exhibition at the West End Museum (if you've never been here, it's an absolute gem), and tour the neighborhood with Executive Director Sebastian Belfanti. We will delve deep into the West End story, viewing first hand all that was lost, and what still remains, focusing on some of the neighborhood’s most important Jewish residents and a visit to the few remaining sites of Jewish culture. There is a $10 fee, please bring exact change or a check. We will meet at 10:00 a.m. RSVP to Irwin Levy or text 516-456-1337 for more information!
