Temple Israel Progressive Israel Caucus Speaker Series

On February 28, the day that President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu launched their war against Iran, the first J Street Conference in several years convened in Washington.

J Street is a US organization that endeavors to ensure that US policy is pro-Israel, pro-peace, and pro-democracy.

Three of us from Temple Israel attended the conference: Ted Greenwood, Karen Victor, and Sandy Wixted. We joined some 1400 others from around the country for two days of learning from engaging speakers addressing many subjects related to Israel, US politics and policy towards the Middle East, and the war. On the third day we joined others in talking to Senators, Representatives, and their staff about issues of concern to J Street.

On April 28 at 7:00 p.m., the three of us will share with the Temple Israel Progressive Israel Caucus (TIPIC) community what we learned at the Conference and what J Street is doing these days to pursue its support of Israel, peace, and democracy.
