What does it mean to choose peace in the aftermath of profound loss?

Join the Center for Adult Jewish Learning for an extraordinary evening with Maoz Inon and Aziz Abu Sarah, two peacebuilders whose lives have been shaped by the Israeli–Palestinian conflict—and whose partnership offers a powerful model of moral courage, empathy, and hope. Both men have suffered devastating personal losses, yet rather than turning away from one another, they have chosen to work together toward a future rooted in dignity, coexistence, and human connection.

In a moderated conversation with Rabbi Suzie Jacobson, Maoz and Aziz will reflect on their personal journeys, the urgent challenges of our current moment, and what it means to transform grief into action. Through honest dialogue and thoughtful exchange, this evening invites us to listen deeply, sit with complexity, and imagine what peace might look like when it is grounded in relationship and shared humanity.

This program offers space not for slogans or debate, but for reflection, learning, and the possibility of understanding across differences.

Register to join us onsite on Monday, April 27 at 7:00 p.m. Contact cajl@tisrael.org with questions.

This program is co-sponsored by Congregation Dorshei Tzedek.
