Join us for the official US Launch of The Holy and the Broken, A Cry For Israeli-Palestinian Peace From A Land That Must Be Shared. Jerusalem based author, educator and dialogue facilitator Ittay Flescher will be in conversation with Rabbi Suzie Jacobson. The event will include an author talk, Q&A, and book signing, and we will be joined by IPF Atid.

Ittay Flescher

Originally from Australia, Ittay Flescher moved to Jerusalem with his family, with aspirations to live his best Jewish life and to shape a new reality. Working at Seeds of Peace in Jerusalem, Ittay has participated in and facilitated over a thousand hours of Israeli-Palestinian dialogue. He has witnessed firsthand the impact of programs that build empathy and trust in times of war.

Ittay also works as the Jerusalem Correspondent for The Jewish Independent from Australia. As an insightful analyst of Israeli politics, he has a wide social media following and has been published in Haaretz, The Age, Crikey, ABC Religion and Ethics, Jerusalem Post, Fathom and many other publications and newspapers.

In 2025, he authored The Holy and the Broken, A Cry For Israeli-Palestinian Peace From A Land That Must Be Shared. Published with HarperCollins, the book was long listed for the 2025 Walkley Book Award, the most prestigious journalism prize in Australia.

IPF Atid is the young professionals network of Israel Policy Forum, an organization dedicated to advancing support for a viable two-state outcome in order to secure Israel's future as secure, Jewish, and democratic. They inform and empower young professionals by promoting pragmatic, nuanced conversations around the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
