Gather with the Temple Israel community for Saturday morning Torah Study. Following the service, one of our clergy members will lead us in an in-depth reading of this week's Torah portion.
As part of our Scholar-in-Residence weekend, Emily Tamkin will then offer a lecture and discussion exploring three pivotal moments in Jewish history—across the United States and beyond—and how these moments can help us better understand Jewish politics and identities today. Together, we’ll consider what the past can teach us about who we are and how we engage with the world around us.
