Temple Israel Progressive Israel Caucus Book Group
Join us onsite or online on Tuesday, November 4, 7:00 pm—8:30 pm for the Temple Israel Progressive Israel Caucus Book Group. We will be discussing: Can the Israel-Hamas Deal Hold? In the October 17th episode of The Ezra Klein Show, Klein speaks with Rob Malley and Hussein Agha, longtime Middle East peace negotiators and authors of Tomorrow Is Yesterday. They discuss the recent agreement between Israel and Hamas—brokered by the Trump administration, Qatar, and Turkey—which led to a temporary ceasefire, hostage releases, and humanitarian aid for Gaza. Malley and Agha offer a deeply informed and personal account of decades of peace talks, reflecting on the recurring failures and fragile hopes for resolution. Their insights reveal both the promise and peril of the current deal’s next phase. Listen to the podcast online.
