Berkalit Concert

We are thrilled to welcome BerKalit to Temple Israel! Founded in 2022 at Berklee College of Music, BerKalit’s name is a clever nod to its origins—blending “Berklee” with the Hebrew word kalit (קליט), meaning “catchy,” which perfectly captures the group’s vibrant musical style. This award-winning a cappella ensemble, proud winners of Jewish Star Season 5, is also known for their acclaimed performance of ASMAC’s arrangement of “Lecha Dodi.”
BerKalit brings together members from diverse religious backgrounds, united by a deep love for Jewish music and a shared commitment to building community through song. With a sound that bridges traditional liturgy and contemporary a cappella, the group is reshaping Jewish musical expression. In addition to leading Shabbat services and vocal harmony workshops across the country, BerKalit recently released their debut EP in 2025—a stunning collection of innovative liturgical arrangements.
We are so excited to have BerKalit join us, and we look forward to the energy, creativity, and spiritual depth they will share with our community! Click here to learn more.
