It's easy to look at today's North End in Boston, with its many Italian restaurants, and assume there was never a Jewish presence. In fact, during America's 3rd Wave of Immigration, 1880-1920, the North End served as the center of Boston's growing Jewish population. There has been a historical Jewish presence in the North End going back to the 1700s. In this 90-minute tour, we will examine the buildings, some extant and some not, along with aspects of everyday Jewish life, and potential points to connect with your ancestors. If your family is from Boston, bring your stories, and perhaps we can see how they fit in with the Jewish community's unique history in Boston. The walk is about a 1/2 mile.

Those interested can join the group at a restaurant for lunch following the tour (not included in program cost). Tour cost is $10 per person.
