Join us for a gentle, grounding session of breath and peace practice, rooted in Jewish wisdom, to prepare our hearts for the journey of the High Holidays. This year, at a time when the Jewish community and the world around us are experiencing painful divisions and challenges, how can we find a spirit of calm — even of celebration and joy — as we approach the Days of Awe? Through mindful breathing, group discussion, and teachings from our tradition, we’ll begin to soften the noise of the world and listen inwardly — toward the ever-present possibility of teshuvah (return), renewal, and the still, small voice within. All are welcome, whether you're familiar with Jewish practice or simply seeking a spacious moment of connection and calm.

Register to join us onsite on August 26 at 6:30 p.m. Contact cajl@tisrael.org with questions.

About Yaakov Ginsberg-Schreck

Since 2019, Yaakov Ginsberg-Schreck has guided RUACH's growth from a breath-focused project proposal into one of the most exciting Jewish startups in the nation. In 2024, RUACH opened the doors of our authentically Jewish meditation and movement studio in Newton, MA, offering a variety of weekly classes and special events as a partner organization on Hebrew College's shared community campus. As RUACH's Executive Director, Yaakov oversees the studio's day-to-day workings and long-term planning, working closely with RUACH's faculty, staff, and board to bring the potential of RUACH (a word meaning "breath," "wind," and "spirit") more and more fully to life.
