Rabbi Dan Slipakoff is a product of Philadelphia. He earned a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master in Social Work from Temple University. Dan spent much of his professional career prior to rabbinic school working in and around the Philadelphia Jewish community. While studying at Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion, Dan served across the spectrum of Jewish life including small congregations, large congregations, Hillels, hospitals, and online communities. Dan was a Year in Israel Truah Fellow, a 92nd Street Y Innovation Fellow, and was selected to participate in the Be Wise Jewish Fellowship in Jewish Entrepreneurialism during his time at HUC-JIR. Dan’s passion for healing and civic responsibility inspired his rabbinic thesis “Rabbinic Responses to September 11th”.
Dan fell in love with Judaism at URJ Camp Harlam, which is where he met and fell in love with his wife Alison. Along with their son Asher, they are eager to experience all that TI and Boston have to offer!
