FJECC ParentOur Philosophy and Mission
The FJECC serves children from 21 months to 5 years old. We are committed to providing the highest quality early childhood education in both secular and Judaic studies in a safe, nurturing and non-pressured environment. Under the guidance of experienced, well-trained and highly educated teachers, we strive to meet the needs of each child by paying close attention to his or her development, interests, and strengths.
We pride ourselves in offering innovative and cutting edge educational opportunities where a curiosity for, and love of, learning is fostered. Community building is an integral part of our program, where lifelong friendships are formed for both the children and their parents.
We are a school year program, running five days a week, from September through June. Our regular program hours are 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., with Early Morning (8:00-9:00 a.m.) and Extended Day (1:00-3:00 p.m. & 3:00-5:00 p.m.) options.

Accreditation
We are continually accredited through NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children). This accreditation takes a multi-layered and thorough look through all aspects of the program: teachers, children, parents, curriculum, community and administration. Judaically, we gained our Magen HaGan accreditation through the Bureau of Jewish Education.

Shabbat Sing
One of the outstanding ways we celebrate Shabbat each week is to gather as a community in the lovely Temple Israel sanctuary. Every Friday morning from approximately 9:30-10:00 a.m. we celebrate the coming of Shabbat with song. Our clergy join us for this joyous gathering on a rotating basis throughout the school year. Parents and family members are invited to attend whenever they can. One of our goals for Shabbat Sing is to provide our young students with lots of good feelings about the Jewish faith and culture while at the same time forging a foundation of wonderful Jewish memories for them.
