Join Theatre@TI for a staged reading of The Glass Room by Ryan Craig in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Following the reading please join us for tea, cookies, and a discussion.

A human rights lawyer agrees to defend a high-profile and controversial historian who has been charged with denying the Holocaust. As the historian’s guilt becomes apparent, her lawyer is forced to doubt his most sacred principles, question his belief in the right to free speech, and acknowledge that he too has been denying the past. The Glass Room premiered in 2006 at the Hampstead Theatre in London.

Temple Israel is proud to participate in the 2024 annual National Jewish Theater Foundation - Holocaust Theater International Initiative - Remembrance Readings. Through this commitment, we honor the victims and survivors of the Holocaust. Our collective goal is to keep alive their memories, stories and must never to be forgotten lessons. May the unique power of theater in performance and education serve as an artistic moral compass for future generations.

This reading will be held at Temple Israel of Boston, 477 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA.
