Shabbat Shirah Concert with Jacob's Ladder

Please join us onsite in celebrating Shabbat Shirah, the Shabbat of Song, with bluegrass band Jacob’s Ladder.

A long-time friend of music lovers at Temple Israel of Boston, Jacob's Ladder is returning home to help us celebrate Shabbat Shirah with an album release concert, featuring special arrangements from their new album. Formed in 2019, Jacob's Ladder seeks to push the boundaries of contemporary Jewish music and traditional American Roots music within the context of Jewish communal singing and prayer. In combining these two identities, they tell their Jewish stories through music. Jacob’s Ladder will be joined by BerKalit, an a cappella group from Berklee College of Music that sings Jewish music, bringing an additional dimension and spiritual scope to a wonderful evening.
