TILLI Winter Session: "The Social Dilemma" Documentary Screening

Join us online on Thursday, March 16 a 11:00 a.m. ET for a screening of "The Social Dilemma", a 2020 American docudrama film that examines how social media's design nurtures addiction to maximize profit and to manipulate people's views, emotions, and behavior by spreading conspiracy theories and disinformation. The film features interviews with many former employees, executives, and other professionals from top tech companies like Google, Facebook, and Twitter. These interviews are presented alongside scripted dramatizations of a teenager's social media addiction. These dramatizations draw attention to the rising concern of the radicalization of youth on the internet.
