Modern Midrash: The Book of Jonah and the Stories that Accompany Him with Rabbi Elaine Zecher
The Biblical character of Jonah has caught our imagination for centuries. Not only is he the only successful prophet--he tells Nineveh to repent and they do!--but he also ends up in the belly of a "great fish." Join Rabbi Elaine Zecher for a monthly exploration through the imagination of the ancients as well as our own, the magnificent prophet and all of his adventures. No previous experience necessary though a desire to be creative, imaginative, and curious will help.
This online class is free and open to all. Class meetings are on the first Thursday of each month, November 2023 - May 2024 from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. ET.
