Shalom KB Families!
Please remember we have a full day of Hebrew school on February 7th, Tikkun Olam day is postponed. There is no school February 14 and 21 for vacation, we will return on the 28th.
We are set into our routine in KB and learning about so much…
Godly Play has brought us the stories of “Noah and the Ark” and “Abraham and Sarah’s journey through the desert”.
We have been artistically exploring our experiences of the torah tales through watercolor, beading, oil pastels and sand!
We learned the names of the letters in the Hebrew alphabet and selected our favorite one from the wall of letters in the classroom. Using ripped paper, we made our own letter-collages!
Tu B’Shevat “The Birthday of the Trees” was celebrated. We learned that we plant trees on this holiday, eat special fruits from trees and remember to take care of the world we live in.
We are into our Israel unit, learning about kibbutz v.s. city life for children. The kids watched a documentary, read books and explored real Israeli artifacts. Next week, we will learn about the geography of Israel and visit Ann in our TI library!
Thank you to parents I have had conferences with. Your input makes a big difference!
