This Friday, November 11, we welcome Artists-in-Residence Rabbi Micah Lapidus and Melvin Myles for an enhanced musical Qabbalat Shabbat service: Music for People of Conscience.

Music and faith can transcend bigotry and bias; come see how.

Micah Lapidus is the Director of Jewish and Hebrew Studies at Atlanta's Davis Academy, where he is committed to helping The Davis Academy continue to envision creative, lively, and joy-filled ways of integrating Judaism into the lives of students and their families. Additionally, he has served on the board of trustees of the Central Conference of American Rabbis and PARDeS: The Progressive Association of Reform Day Schools. He is also a songwriter and composer with four published albums of original Jewish music.

Melvin Kindall Myles is a Mississippi native, born and raised in the Delta area of Clarksdale, Mississippi, known as the birthplace of the blues. He is a soulful Christian and jazz vocalist based in Atlanta where he regularly serves in the Worship and Arts Ministry of the Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Malaveh Malka Concert and Havdalah

Our Artists-in-Residence Rabbi Micah Lapidus and Melvin Myles will join us on Saturday, November 12 for an onsite Melaveh Malka Concert and Havdalah at 7:00 p.m.
