Yizkor means to remember; throughout our Jewish year we have several opportunities to engage in an intimate memorial service shared by the community, allowing us to remember loved ones through beautiful music, sensitive prayer, and poetry. The "Yizkor Service" is offered on Yom Kippur, as well as on our festivals that carry us through the calendar: Simchat Torah, Passover, and Shavuot.
Our Passover holiday will sweetly come to a close with our evening minyan and Yizkor service. Filled with the messages of liberation, and the tradition of sharing our foundational story, we turn once again to each other in community as we pray and bear witness to the memories of our loved ones.
No experience is necessary, and all are welcome to participate in an evening of evocative music and prayer with our clergy.
