Outdoors with TI: Blue Hills Hike
Share
Join us on a Shabbat afternoon hike at Blue Hills Reservation on Saturday, March 26 at This will be a moderate hike lasting approximately 2 hours.
The Blue Hills are named such because European colonizers sailing the coastline noticed the bluish hue of the mountains. However, the name of the state of Massachusetts derives from the Massachusett Indian tribe's name of the hill: massa-adchu-es-et. In 1893, the Metropolitan Parks Commission purchased the lands of Blue Hills Reservation as one of the state's first areas dedicated to public recreation.
Please meet us at 1:45 for a 2:00 p.m. hike start time. We will begin the afternoon with some words of Torah and then hike a 3 mile loop along the Skyline Loop.
In the case of inclement weather, we will reschedule this event.
