Jane Krantz, Executive Director
Jane Krantz came to Temple Israel from Pacific Palisades, California, where she served as Executive Director of Kehillat Israel (KI) from 2002-2008. Jane grew up in the United Kingdom and moved to Australia as a teenager, where she began her career as a public health nurse. She returned to the UK to attend London School of Economics, where she met her husband, Brian. Jane has a strong background in operations management and strategic planning gained from over 25 years in the healthcare industry, and she most recently served as president of the Professional Association of Temple Administrators (PATA). Jane and Brian have two daughters, both of whom are grown and living on the East Coast.

Helen Cohen, FJECC Director
Helen has been in the forefront of shaping the direction of early childhood education in the Boston area for many years. She served as the director of a Nursery School in Brookline for more than 20 years and has been the executive director of the Frances Jacobson Childhood Center at Temple Israel since 1994. Helen has a thorough knowledge and understanding of how young children learn and develop. She has been instrumental in developing early childhood curricula. She has been training both graduate and undergraduate students at Wheelock and Hebrew Colleges for quite some time. Helen's work with parents, both on a daily basis as well as in more formal settings such as workshops, lectures and parenting programs, enables her to understand the challenges of parenting and how to support parents in their complex task.
