Our Interfaith Initiatives will help you to connect with others like you at Temple Israel.

For many years now, Temple Israel has been home to an ever-growing number of interfaith families.  We are proud to be known in the Boston area for our commitment to this dynamic population, and we are grateful for what these families contribute to our community.

In order to best support the interests and needs of our interfaith families, we work in partnership with them to create experiences that feel meaningful as well as comfortable.  Our Interfaith Initiatives are the result of this process.

Each year we schedule a series of interactions that incorporate a mix of moments: studying, celebrating Shabbat, socializing, and discussing what it means to navigate an interfaith relationship.  These interactions help interfaith families connect with one another as well as participate in larger, temple-wide events.
