Dear First Grade Families,
We have been learning about so many different stories, from Joseph and his dreams to Esther and her bravery. We used the Godly Play materials to explore the story of Joseph, one out of the twelve sons of Jacob. We learned about his dreams and ability to interpret those dreams that made him so critical to the Pharoah while in Egypt. After we finished the Godly Play, we made our own colorful Joseph’s coats, explored with the story materials, and read books about other parts of Joseph’s life. Check out the photos below!
Before Purim, our Madricha Chloe helped us learn about Purim. We learned the story by reading a book and watching a short video clip (which you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wvrbAa2Onk). We played a fun matching game and made cool masechot, or masks for Purim. Check out our masks below. Also, Chag Purim was our favorite song that we learned with Scott (check that out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oEnlCtFLlCk)
