REACH OUT AND READ
Dear Temple Israel Religious School,
For our Bar and Bat Mitzvah Social Justice Project, we're collecting books for kids who don't have books who are getting check-ups at Boston Medical Center. The pediatric doctors really believe in reading. The books are for kids between ages 6 and 12. There are about 50 different languages that the patients speak, so the books can be in any language. The books can be new or gently used. We have already collected over 500 books. Boston Medical Center pediatrics has about 30,000 patients that come in every year. Siblings of the patients also get to take a book, so BMC gives away over 30,000 books each year. You can bring the books to the box in the Temple Israel Atrium. We really hope that you can donate to this cause!!!!!!
If you have any questions, you can contact Louie Goldsmith (617-734-3404) or Marjie Rowe (617-277-6282).
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ilana, Louie, Maayan, Marjie, Matthew, Michael, Philip, and Sarah S.
