PARKING, PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF

We recognize how busy everyone's life is and would like to try and make pick-up and drop-off as easy as possible for everyone. In order to better ease the pick-up process we asked parents to wait for their children in the Atrium instead of the hallway; this opened up the entry way and allowed for calmer, quieter end to the school day.

PARKING WHEN YOU ARE AT THE TEMPLE:
When coming through the breezeway please have your children exit the car with caution, as this is a very busy time on the Nessel Way.

Parents and/or those picking up the children on a regular basis should procure a Red parking pass from Irina in the Education Office. This pass allows you to park from 3:30pm onward on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons and from 8:00am onward on Sundays.

If you plan to be at the Temple on these days earlier than 3:30pm or earlier than 8:00am, take a regular parking ticket when you arrive in the garage (as the Red card will not work other than the above mentioned times) and have it validated at the front desk.  We can only validate parking passes for the time you are at Temple Israel.


Please note #1 that pulling a ticket before 3:30pm costs the Temple more.

Please note #2 that our security officer is outside in front of the building for the safety of your children.  If he happens to ask you to move along or not to double park, please know that he does this with the best of intentions.

In addition here is what you can do to make things easier on Tuesday/Thursday afternoon: Park in the garage (there are generally plenty of spaces on the lower levels at 6 pm)

Come into the Temple and wait for your child in the Atrium.

Exit from the garage with your red parking pass from the Nessel Way exit onto Nessel Way.  It is quicker to cross the Riverway than to wait in the Longwood Avenue traffic.  This wisdom is taken directly from the experience of parents who have come before us!

Please abstain from double parking on the Nessel Way when waiting for your child; this alleviates congestion.
